Human Rights First

Human Rights First, an advocacy group based in New York and Washington, D.C., is taking the opportunity of the Olympics to bring attention to the role China plays in supporting governments that commit mass atrocities. China bases its foreign policy on principles of noninterference in domestic affairs, respect for investment partners, and solidarity with developing countries. However, China's economic partnerships enable some the most abusive governments, such as Sudan, to continue committing serious human rights violations. Human Rights First is launching a campaign to bring attention to China's problematic partnerships, and to seek specific changes in China's relationships with some of the world's worst regimes.
